Welcome to the website for the Catholic parish of Aldeburgh and Leiston – a scattered parish covering some twenty five villages around the beautiful coastal town of Aldeburgh. Though we are relatively small in numbers, this is a parish with a life of its own in two communities.
On the site you’ll get a picture of some of the things that go on here, and if you come to visit us, we hope that you will feel at home among us. It’s a parish that rejoices in the many people who visit us both regularly and for one-off stays and your presence here enriches our own community.
If you are new to the area or have been away from church for a while, we warmly invite you to be part of our parish family.
Please keep us in your prayers.
Lent is not just about giving things up; it is also about doing something extra. Whatever we decide to do should be helping us “to die a little more to self”.
It is a Season of Prayer, and prayer acquires strength when accompanied by fasting and almsgiving.
During Lent we have our eyes firmly fixed on Jesus and his journey to Jerusalem and we journey with him.
Lent is about growing in love for God, for one another and for those most in need.
How is LENT 2024 going to be special for YOU?
Stations of the Cross
These will take place during Lent. The next will take place at Aldeburgh on this coming Friday, 8th March at 12noon. Please let Fr. David know if you, or a group, would like to lead a session.
